Welcome to the Western Arkansas Human Resource Association (WAHRA)!

As President of the Western Arkansas Human Resource Association, I am honored to serve a community of professionals who are shaping workplaces across our region every single day. HR is more than policies and procedures, it’s people, culture, leadership, and impact. 

Our chapter continues to grow because of the dedication and passion of our members. Whether you’re new to HR, a seasoned executive, or somewhere in between, WAHRA is a place where you can build meaningful connections, develop professionally, and find support from others who understand the challenges and rewards of this field.

Our Focus for the Year Ahead:

Growing our HR community
We aim to expand membership and increase engagement across Western Arkansas by welcoming new HR professionals and strengthening connections among existing members.

Elevating professional development
Through monthly programs, certification support, and leadership development opportunities, we are committed to helping HR professionals grow in confidence, knowledge, and influence.

Strengthening SHRM partnership & dual membership
We will continue encouraging SHRM dual membership so our chapter can remain strong, compliant, and connected to national HR resources and advocacy.

Building meaningful connections
HR can sometimes feel like a department of one. WAHRA provides a network of peers who understand your role and are ready to collaborate, share ideas, and support one another.
