Navigating & Negotiating Personal Boundaries
Noon - 1 pm (Central), June 14
by Tim Mousseau with Create Safe, New York
Everyone possesses personal safety boundaries. Boundaries dictate how people prefer to communicate, the dynamics of workplace relationships, and how they manage stress and conflict. When boundaries are respected, it creates safer teams where people can speak up without fear of reprisal, make more creative decisions, and feel a greater sense of belonging. As organizations face retention and engagement issues, leaders need to focus on navigating emerging boundaries and negotiating how to uphold personal and team boundaries to instill trust. This interactive program walks participants through a framework to define their safety boundaries, navigate sharing with coworkers, and develop negotiation skills to ensure everyone feels respected. This is a vital session for those who interact face-to-face as well as those who directly supervisor others.
