Getting Employees Back to Work

(Wherever That May Be!)

by Yvonne Rowland with Arkansas Rehabilitation Services

When an employee discloses a condition that affects their job performance, we as employers are legally obligated to try and accommodate the employee to enable them to maintain employment. Many employers don’t realize how easy this is, and that they don’t need to pay an outside vendor for job retention assessments.  It's complicated by the wave of people now working from home (WFH).

The SAWRTW program is a taxpayer-paid service that provides free worksite assessments conducted by an occupational therapist. By enlisting SAWRTW, employers are complying with state ADA laws, effectively accommodating the employee, eliminating the concern of HIPPA violation, and are ensured follow-through to retain an employee who is already trained and valuable to the business. The process is simple and the services are free and discreet.

This is a Zoominar session.   Registrants will receive the link in the reminder email the day before the event.

Getting Employees Back to Work has been submitted to SHRM and HRCI.  Approvals pending.
