HR's Role in Organizational Health: Managing Worker's Compensation and OSHA Liability

by David Qualls, My HR Professionals (Van Buren, AR)

HR Professionals realize that a systems approach is the best mindset for growing HR's influence in the organization.   Understanding the impact of employee health and safety on an organization's P&L is the best place to start.  In this session, David Qualls will lead a discussion to demonstrate the value of sustaining the workforce's health and safety through a variety of good faith efforts.  Participants will leave the session knowing current terminology related to employee health and OSHA compliance; recognizing risks; analyzing exposure; and ready to craft and recommend remedies.

Specific topics include the value of good faith efforts, fundamentals of Arkansas Worker's Compensation (WC), navigating the Bermuda Triangle (ADA, WC, FMLA), and compliance trends.

HR's Role in Organizational Health has been approved by SHRM for 1 PDC and HRCI has approved it for 1.0 business management credit!
