Resolution 2020: Reduce waste via Lean Six Sigma for HR Professionals
by CBPD Director Kendall Ross
Garnering the proverbial seat at the table has always challenged HR professionals. The language of HR, after all, doesn't lean itself to operational terms such as efficiency and return on investment. After all, a profession centered on humans is accustomed to life in the nebulous world of abstract and compliance. One path to the cherished seat is to immerse oneself in operational practices that help them align the HR function to other business units. One such practice is the adoption of Lean Six Sigma and other waste and defect reduction programs. Lean principles which seek to reduce inefficiencies and thus improve the customer experience, have long since been associated with manufacturing.
This session will be lead by Kendall Ross, director of the UAFS Center for Business and Professional Development.
This session will introduce attendees to the principles of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) strategies and demonstrate the value in using LSS approaches to HR competencie
